Engraved t.p. Woodcut tail-pieces, initials Signatures: * A-3K Includes errata Landwehr, J. Emblem books in the Low Countries Bound in 2 v. (v. 1: libri 1-2; v. 2: libri 3-4). Vellum (apparently original), with lapped foredges, remains of 2 pairs of green wool ties. Boards tooled in black with frame & corner fleurons, central stamps in gilt (Crucifixion with IHS on upper board, Virgin Immaculata on lower). Spine tooled in black with double fillets & fleurons. Title & author written on spine. Page edges red Substantial inscriptions on first text pages of both vols. have been scratched out, but the date 1622 and the price of 5 florins remain legible. Both pages additionally inscribed in another hand: Societatis Jesu Augusta. (Augsburg?)
