An almost literal translation of the first two books of L'histoire poétique of Pierre Gautruche John Adams Library copy has bookplate: John Adams Library, in the Custody of the Boston Public Library John Adams' signature on verso facing title page: "Ex libris Adams." John Adams Library copy inscribed with various pentrials and dates on first leaf and verso of first leaf: "1776 ... 1777 ... No. 16." Includes index John Adams Library copy transferred from the supervisors of the Temple and School Fund. Quincy, Mass., 1894
