First published at Bologna, 1504, as Chyromantie ac physiognomie anastasis (with Alessandro Achillini's De chyromantiae principiis et physionomiae) Comprises a preface by Cocles, an anonymous handbook of physiognomy in 25 brief chapters, and "Andreae Corvi mirandvlani Absolutissima ratio chyromantiae." Title (A1r) within ornamental border (Heitz, X, 6). Cuts of 29 heads illustrate the Physiognomia. They are in pairs, except for one that is single. For most of the Chiromantia (D4r to O2v), each page consists of a diagram of the palm of a hand over its explanation in letterpress. The palms are on floral or foliate backgrounds, many of them printed white on black. On D3v is a full-page diagram of a palm, labelled in German (repeated on O3r) Signatures: A-Nα O⁴ In Library's copy, Physiognomia and Chiromantia bound separately (modern tan paper, decorated with red and black lines at margins, over pasteboard; half vellum). Both vols. have bookplate on front pastedown with initials WR. Leaves A1, A2, A7, A8 tipped onto stubs. O4 wanting (blank)
