Some of the images have a copyright date of 1873 Catalog of hairwork jewelry designed for use in mourning, freemasonry, etc. Some of the designs incorporate enamelwork, metalwork, pearls etc CHMRB copy 39088016107039 has stamp on back paste-down endpaper: Removed from the collection of the Museum of the City of New York. A partially legible handwritten inscription appears on the front free endpaper: From Dora J. [illegible], Mount Kisco, NY. There are a few brief ms. pencil annotations (e.g. price changes) throughout CHMRB copy has a contemporary printed purple paper wrapper; tipped in at the back of a later old blind-stamped burgundy cloth album with blue endpapers
