Pierwszy utwór "Apostrofe Do uciśnioney Oyczyzny Polskiey i iey Synow [...]" oparty jest na wierszu "Do Vcisnioney Oyczyzny Apostrophe", dodanym do parafrazy fragmentu Biblii pt. "Job Cierpiący [...]." (Warszawa, [1705]). Z edycji z 1705 r. przedrukowano, w nieco zmienionej wersji, 6 zwrotek i stanowią one trzy pierwsze zwrotki oraz zwrotkę 18, 20 i 22 wydania z 1794 r.
