Buchschmuck und Schrift weisen auf Entstehung der Hs. in Oberitalien (Bologna?) im frühen 13. Jh. (BAUER-EBERHARDT). Da einerseits die enthaltene Compilatio quarta in Bologna vor 1220 kaum rezipiert wurde, andererseits nach der Publikation des Liber Extra 1234 aber keine neuen Abschriften der Compilationes antiquae in den Rechtsschulen mehr entstanden, ist der Entstehungszeitraum der Hs. auf ca. 1220-1234 einzugrenzen. In die Augsburger Dombibliothek gelangte die Hs. zusammen mit mindestens 9 weiteren Bänden als Nachlass des Dompfarrers Johannes Wildsgefert († 12.3.1470), dessen typischer Besitzvermerk in der rechten unteren Ecke 304r zu finden ist; zu Wildsgefert s. Clm 3831; da Wildsgefert in Padua als Student nachweisbar ist, könnte er die Hs. von dort mitgebracht haben; Digitized image count: 616; Extent: 1 + 306 Blätter; Shelfmark: Clm 3879#Mikroform; Trede: CCMSBM SN III,3,3	1.
