[8], 202, 201-346 p. : 33 cm (fol.) First ed. of Scarano's Italian translation. Another translation by Giovanni di Rosa appeared at Naples in 1598. Original Latin ed. published 1586 at Vico Equense (near Naples) Engraved coat of arms on t.p. of viceroy Pedro Ferdinándo de Castro y Andrada, to whom work is dedicated. Port. of della Porta by Geronimo de Novo on t.p. verso. In-text ill. mostly bear arabic or roman numbers, but do not appear in sequence (numerous repeats). Head- and tail-pieces, initials Signatures: a⁴ A-2F⁶
