Apart from those by Basil Valentine, the texts are German versions of Latin texts published in Musaeum hermeticum (1625); cf. [1], 2nd sequence); Lambspring, das ist, Ein herzlicher teutscher Tractat vom philosophischen Steine (p. [83], 2nd sequence); Vom philosophischen Steine eine schöner Tractat (p. [109}, 2nd sequence); Vom philosophischen Steine ein kurtzes Tractätlein (p. [137], 2nd sequence) Numerous etched symbolic ill "Folgt ein beygefügtes hermetico-spagyrisches Lustgärtlein"--P. 150. This addendum was arranged by the publisher Luca Jennis; cf. Hogart. The added t.p. reads: Hermetico-spagyrisches Lustgärtlein : darinnen hundert und sechtzig unterschiedliche, schöne, kunstreiche chymico-sophische Emblemata, oder geheymnussreiche Sprüche der wahren hermetischen Philosophen : sampt beygefügten noch vier grossen schönen unnd tieffsinnigen theosophischen Figuren... The imprint is as that of the 1st work. The etched symbolic roundels for the 160 alchemical philosophers are arranged 16 to a page, each surrounded by a Latin phrase which is given in German translation on the page facing Contents from p. 4 Hogart, R. Alchemy Library's copy bound after and shelved with: Reconditorium ac reclusorium opulentiae sapientiaeque numinis mundi magni. Amstelodami : Apud J. Janssonium & E.
