The three double plates are engraved by Giuseppe Vasi after drawings of the Portuguese architect Manuel Rodrigues dos Santos, who also designed the funeral decorations, and depict the decorated exterior facade of S. Antonio dei Portoghesi in Rome, the vertical view of the transept, and the catafalque. The single plates are engraved by Giovanni Battista Girardenghi, Giovanni dei Franceschi, and Carlo Maiglij after Antonio Biccherai, and by Farncesco Mazzoni after Carlo Maiglij, and depict significant events in the reign of John V., each scene is shown within ornamental frame with military and vanitas motives.
