1. Confucius is reported to have said on one occasion, 'If some years were added to my life, I would give fifty to the study of the Yi, and might then escape falling into great errors.' 1. The Shu is the most ancient of the Chinese classical books, and contains historical documents of various kinds, relating to the period from about B.C. 2357-627.
