John Howe (1630-1705) was a Presbyterian minister. In 1650 he graduated BA from Brasenose College, Oxford and was elected chaplain of Magdalen College, Oxford. In 1652 he graduated MA and was a fellow of Magdalen College, 1652-1655. He was domestic chaplain to Oliver Cromwell (1559-1658) and subsequently to Richard Cromwell (1626-1712). He was pastor at Haberdasher's Hall, Staining Lane, London, 1675-1705. This is one of two volumes written in longhand. Entitled 'The Principles of the Oracles of God / The Second part...Preached by the Reverend Mr. John Howe Pastor of a Congregation in London at his Weekly Lecture in the yeares 1691 1692 1693'.
