A plate depicting the interior of the catafalque with caption "Parte interiore del fvnerale catafalco", engraved by Lorenzo Tinti Illustrations: fifty three engraved plates depicting important events in life of the deceased, especially his diplomatic and military successes, each scene within an elaborate frame, with Latin captions; most are unsigned, two bear initials L.T.F and L.T. sculp. (for Lorenzo Tinti) Twenty engraved emblematic illustrations (p. 545-564) with describing text Eight double plates comprising the genealogical table of the Este family, with caption "Albero discendenza della serenissims Casa d'Este ..." The text describes details and the allegorical significance of the funeral decorations, followed by eulogies praising the most significant events in the life of Francesco I. and the Este family, especially the diplomatic and military successes. With numerous Latin inscriptions The architects of the funeral ceremony were Gaspare Vigarini ("L'Ingegnere di tutta la macchina" cf. p. 17) and Andrea Seghizzi, the painter was Francesco Stringa, the composer of the music was Benedetto Ferrari (cf.
