Drawing from old texts and oral traditions, Bechstein compiled tales that included his own retellings of stories from the Brothers Grimm, Charles Perrault, and other sources. The collection features beloved tales like Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, and Bluebeard.
