Scan of a photographic facsimile of a 13th century manuscript, which was rediscovered in 1882 by Kimura Masakoto (木村正辞). Containing the third volume of a collection of Japanese buddhist legends. The original was compiled before 822 CE, by Kyokai (or Keikai) a monk of the Yakushi-ji in Nara (Japan). This manuscript is commonly known as the "Nihon Ryoiki Maeda-bon." Full title CJK: 日本國現報善悪靈異記 卷下 原本侯爵前田家藏 (Ryoiki is sometimes read as "Reiiki") Includes a 16 p. explanatory booklet of a facsim. reproduction of a manuscript written by Zenkei (Zen'e) in 1236. (Publ.: Meguro-machi (Tōkyō-fu) 1931, Ikutoku Zaidan (育德財團), 1931; Ser.: Sonkeikaku sōkan)
