A text about alchemy. “ In his preface Pole man mentions Paracelsus and Basilius Valentinus in addition to Helmont . On pp. 113, 116, 160, 204 he discusses Boehme and rec ommends him to the seeker after Truth. ”—according to Margaret Lewis Bailey, 1914 Full title in German: “Novum lumen medicum. In welchem die vortreffliche und höchstnöthige lehre des hochbegabten Philosophi Helmontii, Von dem hohen Geheimnis des Sulphuris Philosophorum. Aus getreuen wohlmeynendem Gemüthe gegen die Unwissenden und Irrenden / wie auch aus mitleidendem Hertzen gegen die Krancken / gründlichen erkläret wird / von Joachimo Polemann” An English translation by “ F. H. a German ” was published in 1662 in London and full text is available from the Oxford Text Archive
