Impresos peruanos Provenance of John Carter Brown Library copy 2: Luis Montt: bookplate and acquisition record The John Carter Brown Library copies 1 and 2 are bound in contemporary vellum. Copy 1 was acquired in 1859 and has the folded leaf of plates, an engraving by José Vásquez of the catafalque raised in the Cathedral of Lima in commemoration of the death of Charles III. Copy 2, acquired in 1909, lacks the leaf of plates. In copy 1, the added leaf of "Advertencias" was inserted after the title page whereas in copy 2, the leaf of "Advertencias" was inserted before the fly leaf. Copy 1 appears to be a perfect copy
