Book of records from the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Vermont, from 1804 to 1850. Includes detailed records, minutes, letters, petitions, dispensations, and returns from subordinate Mark Lodges and Royal Arch Chapters in the state of Vermont. Records mention notable Freemasons like William Miller , the founder of the Millerite movement which led to several Adventist denominations (including the Seventh-day Adventist church). William Miller was a prominent Freemason for over 20 years and joined at least two separate lodges, including one mentioned in this book: Morning Star Mark Lodge No. 4, originally located in Poultney, and later in Fair Haven. Includes an illustration on page 557 of a hand emerging from a cloud and pouring oil into the Lamp of Knowledge, which is resting on a book. Published by Free Press and Times Print.
