Publisher's vignette; head- and tail-pieces; initials Signatures: pi⁵ A-C⁴ D⁶ (D5, D6 blank) Leaves 1-2 (pi¹, pi²) blank Dedication in manuscript (pi⁴, pi⁵) signed, Il Barone Don Gaetano Mazzarella di Stavia (pi⁵ verso) Undated. Probable publication date from dedication: "Londra li 31 Decembre 1716" In Italian and Latin It would appear that Mazzarella commissioned a few copies of the work to be privately printed, for distribution to notable personages, each with blank leaves ingeniously inserted to allow for various dedications. This copy is dedicated to Henry Duke of Portland, that is, Henry Bentinck (1682-1726), 1st Duke of Portland, the eldest surviving son of Hans William Bentinck, 1st Earl of Portland Another issue with, Dedicati a sua Eccellenza Il Signore Signore Henrico Duca Di Portlont, &c. &c.", with title, Ristretto prezioso d'arcani: nel quale si contiene settanta rari, e utilissimi secreti della natura, scoperti, e prouati con esatte esperienze
