(4to) Text, with commentary Attributed to Albertus Magnus in the text, but authorship is doubtful Title printed above a woodcut illustration depicting a man sitting at a desk writing with a quill; surrounded on three sides (top, bottom, and outer margin) by ornamental blocks featuring floral designs and fantastical beasts. Title page printed on both leaf a1r and a1v Imprint from ISTC; dated about 1493-1494 by CIBN; dated about 1488 by GW Signatures: a-b⁸ c-e⁶ Printed on Chancery size paper, 36 lines to a full page; area of text: 135 x 86 mm.
