6 unnumbered leaves, 622 pages, 8 unnumbered pages : (folio) Signatures: A-Z⁶, Aa-Zz⁶, Aaa-Fff⁶, Ggg³ A poem in 9 books, each preceded by an argument in verse and an engraved plate, and followed by observations in prose and "A meditation" in verse Includes a celebrated reference to Shakespeare and his contemporaries (Book IV, p. 206) and some curious stories concerning witches, magicians and ghosts First edition; engraved title, by Cecill, within an elaborate border with the emblem of the Trinity at the top, and on either side the spirits of the elect ("Electi") and the fallen ("Reiecti")
