Each page of text consists of a single-line title in Roman, followed by a woodcut ill. attributed to Bernard Salomon and 8 lines of verse in italic, the whole surrounded by an arabesque, grotesque or strapwork border Mortimer, R. French 16th cent. Binding: purple goatskin, gold tooled with central ornament on boards, double fillets on edges of boards, and dentelles on turn-ins that incorporate at foot the binder's name: V. NIEDRÉE. The edges gilt and lightly marbled. Green silk place marker At upper center of front pastedown is booklabel of Edmond Foulc
