Holograph, signed Title devised by cataloger Letter addressed from the Independent Office Johnson encloses $10 as payment for Garrison's article published in that week's Independent. Johnson expresses his pleasure that Garrison's health has "so far recovered from the lamentable effects of last winter's accident", and that Garrison is able to writer again. Johnson informs Garrison that while he has been "working like a beaver", his health is better than it has been in years, a change which Johnson ascribes to his having taken up animal magnetism treatments
