28 leaves ; 4 x13 x 2.5 cm (6-7 lines per leaf) Manuscript Title devised by cataloguer Poleman description: Planetary influences in the treatment of disease. Sinhalese script. 28 ff. Palm leaves with decorated, lacquered wood covers, tying cord, and silver button. 4.9 x 1.3. 6-7 lines. M (Medical Library) 218 (Casey Wood number) Collected by Casey Wood: no. 218 Comments by Dr. Perera: Discusses auspicious times to perform certain actions. Nothing to do with medicine. Written in verse, with one verse per folio Label attached to ola reads: A small ola on planetary influences in the treatment of disease, part of a Vederala's equipment [a vederala is an ayurvedic practitioner] . Pali-Sinhalese. The covers are contemporary - of decorated, lacquered wood - but the silver button and cord are modern, after antique patterns. Rare. Ca. 1630 A.D
